The freelance writer's problem is the work comes in irregular bunches which means you have to research, write, rewrite, and meet deadlines on a number of projects at once. Meanwhile, to assure your future, you always have to have a variety of proposals out there on the desks of prospective clients, and follow up on them before yours is buried under the slush pile of other freelance proposals.
QueryTrax organizes all these tasks in a data base so you can concentrate on the most enjoyable part of this business, the writing.

Each module performs a group of useful tasks but depends on a core or main module for data and instructions that tie everything together. First, a brief overview of each module.
Base.fm - This is the core module where basic information (Clients, Contacts, Phone Numbers, etc.) is stored and from which the other modules are launched. When you open QueryTrax, the Menu Screen offers you a wide range of choices using brain-free buttons.
Trax.fm - This creates a daily chronology of things to be done. Depending on how you install the program, this ToDo list may be either displayed or printed at start-up, or you may command one of those choices from the Menu Screen in the Base module. The module also contains a Call Log, as well as an individual Call Report where you may record the details of every communication.
Letters.fm - Here is where you can launch a query letter without the tedium of re-typing the editor's name and address. Every letter is placed in a chronogical log.
Faxes.fm - This file does a similar service in the creation of faxes. Every fax is listed in a chronogical log.
Labels.fm - Labels can be created for any of the individuals or entities in the records.The layout gives a choice of popular sizes, including a package or large envelope shipping labels.
List.fm - Here you store, for retreival, custom lists which you compiled in the Labels module.
Invoice.fm - Here you create invoices and keep track of who owes what. The age of an invoice is calculated every time you open the file. With a click of a button you can generate a detailed report on the payments and opn balances for each transaction. A monthly and annual summary income statement is also generated with a click of a button.
History.fm - This is perhaps the most useful module in QueryTrax. This is where the program creates reports that track the status of your queries, assignments and deadlines.You need never miss another overdue query, get behind on an assignment, nor miss a deadline again.
Manual.fm - the file of on-screen instructions. You may call it up during a session, or print out a copy. You may print out either the entire manual, or just a topic. QueryTrax is so powerful, that some of the capabilities are not obvious. You'll profit from at least one careful reading of Manual.fm
A red button on the Action Screen will guide you, step by step, if you wish to design letterheads, envelpes, faxes, and invoices with your name, address and phone number. A full-sized, lay-flat, generously illustrated manual is available to registered users.
